Work for hire and game development: a double-edged sword if we ever saw one. On one hand, you probably want to work for clients to generate a steady cash flow to invest in your dream game. But on the other hand, these gigs eat up time and can hold back progress on that same passion project.
The solution to this problem and other questions pertaining work for hire will be presenterd during a webinar hosted by Flanders DC on 20th October (link in Dutch) at 10 AM. FLEGA board members Jeroen Janssen of Happy Volcano and Timothy Vanherberghen of Triangle Factory will explain how their companies got into the B2B-market. They’ll also deliver insights in how they worked for high-profile clients like Ketnet, Telenet, and BEBAT while running development on their own games. There’ll be a Q&A session afterwards.
The digital event is free but as it’s exclusive to game developers, you’ll have to sign up in advance (link in Dutch) to get an invite. Do it now, and see you next week!
And while you’re in the learning spirit, why not take a look at some of the brand new Flanders DC dossiers (link in Dutch)? It’s never been easier to find all the knowledge, tips, and tools on a specific subject (such as marketing, financing or even corona) so check it out to see if there’s anything to help your game studio out. Thank you Flanders DC!
