For the next #FLEGACafe on March 28 we invite you to discover the sound studio of Piet Goddaer, the Flemish composer and singer-songwriter better known as Ozark Henry.
The privately owned studio is capable of outputting true 3D immersive sound. As immersive sound can be an amazing addition to videogames and VR experiences, Ozark Henry wants to share his big passion for immersive sound with game developers at the next #FLEGACafe. Attendees get to discover the possibilities of the technology during a studio tour (in groups of 5) while drinks will be served at a small networking event.
Ozark Henry already made use of the technology on his most ambitious project to date: Paramount. Following an invitation by the National Orchestra of Belgium to pay tribute to his repertoire in a series of concerts, he decided to record an album in stereo, 5.1 surround sound and 9.1 Auro 3D immersive sound. This makes him one of the first artists in the world to embrace 3D audio technology. He was also the first Belgian who was invited by Google to do a talk on the subject.
The event takes place on March 28, 7 PM – 10 PM at Koksijde. Please note that you’ll probably need a car to get there. The train station of Veurne isn’t far, but the last train leaves around 9 PM. Please let us know if you want to come by train, so we can look into transport arrangements.
As always, the event is free for all but please register upfront as seats will be limited. We hope to see you there!
