For the third year running, the European Games Coproduction Market connects both established and new developers in order to foster coproductions between indie game studios in Europe. Last year, the initiative included Belgian, French and German studios, but this year the event opens up to developers from Spain, Croatia, and Serbia.
The European games coproduction market is a multi-stage event that will run throughout the spring and summer, leading up to the actual coproduction market taking place in Strasbourg on November 15-16.
During an online matchmaking event at the end of June, participants will pitch their studio and/or project and you’ll get the chance to meet other European studios with similar interests. After that, the coproduction teams will be mentored by a series of experts before they go on to the actual coproduction market to meet with investors and publishers to launch their collaboration. For more information about the timing of the programme, please check the Spielfabrique website.
In addition to that, you can also tune in on 22nd March at 11 AM for a Zoom webinar. Next to explaining the pro’s and cons of coproductions, the programme of the coproduction market will be explained and you can get answers to all of your questions.
Of note: particiaption is completely free of charge. So if you’re interested in collaborating with other European studios and discover the many possibilities of European coproduction, this is a solid opportunity. You have until 5th April to send in your application to become part of this European adventure.
The European Games coproduction market is powered by SpielFabrique and locally supported by VAF|GAME.
