Pan European Game Information, or simply PEGI, is a European classification system which allows gamers (parents, teachers, children, etc.) to read into the possibly “harmful” content of the game beforehand. Every professional in the business already uses the PEGI system to classify a game per age and per content, but it is not yet officially endorsed by our government.
With games becoming a more important platform for today’s youth, BEA, the Belgian Entertainment Association asks that the Belgian government follows the example from France and acknowledges the PEGI system to protect consumers and parents. FLEGA supports this demand.
